Titanic.

Words by Jitro Timbang

Titanic: built to be unsinkable, enormous it was thought to have strength like no other.

…love — it was love they forgot to calculate for.

An X factor only us know.

A look was all it took to take her off afloat — down to the place of the forever unknown.

I look at you and find myself journeying down timelines — past lives.

You’ve let me in to every parts of you,

and I see what‘s hidden are terrors and joys that’s beautifully made you.

A reason non-existent, a feeling so true.

Is this the mystery feeling that comes once in a blue moon?

I could write stories and plot lines to make our love true,

but something within you resists — let go of that, won’t you?

At first glance, a canvas of possibilities,

then all of a sudden, doubts of the past crawling in.

It makes no sense for wanting to come back in,

let me go, as I have someone else I’m welcoming.

Trauma loves unconditionally, but to breakfree, accept all of yourself within.

How do we expect to love another if the love we give ourselves are close to nothing?

Let’s not cheat ourselves of the capacity of this feeling.

You never know, that just might cause your love down to its sinking.
